I have 15 sites I am tracking. Overall some of the rankings have come back up with some of the sites, but those sites probably still have only about 50% of their original traffic.
Sites where I ordered a lot of Web 2.0, blog comments, tierd link building are the sites that got hit the hardest. Some where manual built web 2.0, a lot were tool generated.
I had 2 newer sites where I only built links with NHSEO and private high PR blog posts. So far these sites have not been hit and have actually been climbing in the SERP's. I am hoping it is more because of the type of links and not because they were sites where I had just started linkbuilding 1 month ago.
Most of the sites that got hit, have regained some of their rankings but traffic is still much less than what it was, but they look like they are still in the game.
I had 2 sites that were hit with the Sape update a month before and have the manual penalty message. These sites had dropped to the 40's with the Sape update, now they don't even show in the top 300 for a lot of their keywords. These sites also had the the type of links that hit my other sites the hardest.
I guess I am down, but not out and now time to build more but less spammy links. Need links to rank for some sites, so need to keep trying to find what works now.
