Google Update - Is this the one?

Haven't seen a major change yet, but let's hope for the best :)

sorry to be a noob! But how do you guys check rise and fall in the SERPs? Is there any free tool that can help with this?

Sensor is behind ins't it?

I think so. This small shakeup happened about 7 days ago if my own tools are right. Doesn't seem like a core update to me.

There's definitely something going on according to the semrush sensor for the last 3 days but haven't seen any changes in rankings.

My rankings havent moved all day. First ever time in 3 month I've seen stale rankings.
@bartosimpsonio will soon confirm this once google agree to not harm his sites, but looks like some of us will have a bad weekend

Small fluctuations here and there. Doesn't look like a big one.

Long-time lurker, first time poster here. Sensors are quieter today, but something has definitely been up the last few days. One client (news publisher, sport/gaming niche) with good backlinks and original content practically disappeared off Discover. Keywords were mostly stable, but some drops on the more competitive ones. But somewhat unusual fluctuations these last few days.

Just remembered, TikTok ban hits this weekend. Google was trialing TikTok style vids in the Discover feed recently. Wonder if there is a connection.

had a few affiliate sites with natural links drop 40% traffic. def some movement

My site gained traffic today/yesterday and reach (5x reach) according to GSC.

Mines slowly dropping now...

Just contributing:

Retail and and lead generating wholesale niche.
For one of my retail WP sites, keywords were stable but yesterday went down 1,300 total points and today I'm at a total loss of 2,130. Pretty substantial in this niche.
For my other WP and EComm sites, stable, no massive changes.

I want to think its an algorithm change but could be something else.

Another "glitch"? One e-commerce client rocketed on Friday (highest average in about four months), started plunging again yesterday. Everything is volatile - no clear identifier (personally speaking) on what is causing what.

@printcookies Thank you for sharing some of your ecomm info. I don't think its a glitch but maybe? It's pretty difficult to gain traction with the keywords I target but they steadily go up as long as I stay on link building and content. Lost 4 KW on page 1 with substantial volume and total volume of search down 16%. Gonna keep an eye on the thread and the stats and keep plugging away.

I hope google can stop changing the algorithms so frequently. It's obvious they don't want to "seo professionals" work and websites owners pay for ads.
