Google Trends - fake traffic?

I've just been looking at google trends to see how popular various music artists are in different country's. I found that some artists have a lot of traffic from Tunisia & Turkey - when they don't even seem to be popular there.

Also, when i type 'facebook' into google trends for 2011 the most popular country is Tunisia & Turkey.

My initial thought is that there are companies based in Tunisia & Turkey that get new google trends started by doing fake searches.

Whats everyone elses view on this?

The reason why the artist from tunisia COULD be that when the revolution was going on an artist whos name i do not remember got very famous world wide in media because he pushed people with his songs abnd critisized the government. I remember that he also got a prize cus of that.

Its not artists from Tunisia, i'm looking at artists from the UK + USA.

Does anyone know of any company that does fake searches to increase google trends?

couldnt you just do a google search and hit the refresh button every second or use an auto mouse clicker app to do it for you? 500,000 searches a day from the same ip? =)
