Hello,

So I am just creating my first Google Tag Manager.

I encountered a problem with naming the container, it wants it to be a website, but I don't have a website. I want to be tracking my YouTube ads.

I tried pasting in my long Youtube URL (with the random letters) but it contains a dash and it wouldn't have it. My channel is not even eligible yet for a custom link either. In which case I don't see how I can go forward with this.

As I already have Google Analytics, Ads and Youtube channel linked, do I really need the Google Tag Manager at this point, or am I good to dive into creating my Youtube ad with what I already have linked?

If I really do need the Google Tag Manager, how do I get around the above problem?

I am looking forward to your advice.

Thank you in advance! :)

You don't need Google Tag Manager to track youtube ads.

you would need if you sending them to a website where you want to track actions.

Hey, yeah I am going to be using Youtube ads to send them to a bridge page, which will then send them onto the JVzoo affiliate sales page :)

So you track click thru rates of your bridge page with google tag

if you want to track conversions that's another topic
