Google Search as you know it is over

This is NOT true, most of the keyword that drive sales do not trigger AI and all of that BS.

Right now, from what I saw, the most important thing is being cited on community platform (G is heavily pulling data from Reddit, YT, Quora, Medium, Linkedin, etc...)
The old SEO is definitely dead, but I'm not sure how this new play will turn out

A lot of what we know today will soon change forever. Google is adapting to the AI revolution and is actively integrating AI technologies into its search engine. Moreover, people themselves increasingly want to receive a direct answer to their question rather than spend time researching dozens of websites in search results looking for the information they need.

The easy traffic era is slowly fading. that's inevidable actually !

Time to focus on brand, distribution and being the source AI pulls from. It's evaluuting

This has been my experience.

Buyer intent keywords usually do not trigger AI responses, and I don't see Gemini entering into the forte of trying to recommend businesses even though it will do it if you prompt it.

From a legal standpoint, Google has to be very careful if they show favoritism to a business based on anything but algorithmic merit, which means that even if AI does list businesses based on buyer intent keywords or prompts, they will need to have a reason for it.
