This is really funny. I guess its time to create a "bounce rate bot". It gos to your favorite competitor's site with every Ip you can find, and just leaves. LOL. The crap backlink attacks would also work if this is true. "websites without SEO being handled by Googgle?" Fine, the just make it and they will come BS is now a reality. Now it is time for Google to tell us what constitutes good content, when backlinks have been the measure of interest all along.
I guess now the algo says that if you build a site that is grammar correct, and no one links to it, that makes it quality, as long as they read the whole thing?. I guess it is time for the PTV sites to extend their time to view up a bit, problem solved.
If Matt Cutts is so worried about us following the math, then Google needs to shut ol' Matty down, as he is spewing with figures before every update.

All i can say is that though Google might be right in taking this action, no one knows the modalities they used. I keep on seeing people writing that it is all about content, but I also read from other blogs a lot of webmasters with quality contents that got hammered. Everyone is just doing a guess work.
One important thing that I've just learnt is that no smart person should put all his eggs in one basket. This should be taken as a wake up call to diversify strategies. No one should seat down and allow a company who enjoys constant change of algorithm to determine how he makes a living. There was a time AOL was larger than life and even acquired CNN. But where are they today? In this 21st century, everything is possible and unfortunately Google is ignoring it. It went to China and could not compete. Very soon other countries are going to wake up to the amount of their information which Google is controlling. In the world of technology, there are no permanent leaders. If only Bing and Yahoo can put their a** together to cut down Google's monopoly. But till then, diversification must be the norm. Google may wake up tommorrow and tell you that they want to penalise contents with so many bold letters or contents without paragraphs, everyone would start running around again like chicken. Google staffs must be having a nice laugh.
