Quick question regarding their detection method. Wouldn't it, in theory, work to use proxies to leave reviews as long as said IPs are located within the specific local region?

Google reviews can absolutely influence SEO. Real reviews, both positive and negative, are factored into the complex algorithm Google uses to determine how it ranks local businesses.
 
Based on my knowledge, Having an strong google review presence with the main focus on quality and quantity will positively influence your local SEO efforts and will also be helpful for the overall success of your business in local search results.

You need them! If you don't have them go get some. You'll be glad you did.

Of course organic and regional are the best but I've found great sellers on here and the best prices you’ll find. Most have no guarantees past 30 days.
