It appears the having google reviews and the more current the better are helping local SEO?

Now that google is doing more with online ordering and even some placing of ads for local businesses reviews are even more important?

The problem is Google has stepped up the game on filtering and any foreign IP review or VPN is now gone.

Making most of the people selling google reviews to help you get jumpstarted getting filtered in 30 to 90 days.

If you agree and have a few gmail USA only based business I would be willing to trade a few and we can see how that helps our SEO.

What is your thoughts on SEO google reviews?

To the best of my knowledge, from what I witnessed from the multiple listings, if reviews are the only factor, you’re ranking above your competitors. Your reviews will most likely go down sooner or later.

Obviously, Google reviews play an integral role in raising your rankings.
 
Your LOCAL reviews most likely need to come from same AREA code, state, and must not leak VPN footprints. Basically, what they are looking for is the real thing. You can't be leaving review for someone in New York if you google detects you NEVER set foot in New York. Their detection method is deep.

True, the recent update hit so many websites who manipulated the google reviews by adding fake reviews
 
Google reviews especially recent ones are crucial for local seo due to google's focus on online ordering and local ads. Beware of filtered fake reviews genuine us based reviews can boost seo.

Google review IMO only helps the LOCAL map pack listing more than the organic results below the map pack.
