Google releases March 2023 broad core update

Portfolio of 8 sites

My whitehat sites are up 20% on average; this is pretty big for some really big sites.

My pbn sites are all down (it may just be a big coincidence, all the people selling pbns in their footer banner. Please don't spam me with hate ;))

All that I understand from this is all articles that rank previously on old records of facts will going to denounce as Google's first priority is to give more weightage to fresh and updated content in particular fields. Updating old blog posts with additional information with the new author can help in tackling this update. The same Wikipedia gets updated by other members.

One site that I use as a side project bumped from 100 UV to 150. But I think is temporary.

No changes on my main site yet. Still stable

Google is showing poor results right now. Spam ranking on first page of SERP. I think we all should wait for it to rollout before making any major change. I am sure it will improve once it rolls out.

When does this crap update end? I got positions in the SERP with very bad articles and pure SPAM... I don't understand what Google is doing, they look like retards.

RIP my website.

Even other whitehat establish site owner on seroundtable reported having the same killer effect.

SEO is dead. There’s no way you can run SEO campaign when every single update (every 2-3 months) Google will randomly kick your ranking position out of nowhere from top #5 to page 3

Same for me, I think it will be fixed in 2 weeks.

Was there a update that effected 301.

Many advise just keep both pages indexed.

Has Google gone aginst 301???
Anyone having issues.

The site mentioned here has a 301 redirect. Still at 150 UV/day.... Update need 1 more week to rollout so i think we have to wait

Between Feb and March I've seen movement in my niche. My more established sites didn't see movement and one hit hard last summer/fall is maintaining slow improvement. A newer site, related to a local business, got kicked hard at the start of February on the top keywords which are all highly competitive. A lot of shuffle in the serps over the past two months. Not really clear what caused all the shuffle or specifically my beatdown. All of my working theories have not moved the needle.

Every 2 or so months now google comes out of its caves and goes:

"Yup, Time to fuck your ass again mate. Lay down"
Like seriously, I was speechless when I saw some of my main keywords drop and old posts that dey never look to rank before are now moving, it's like collecting a whole big apple from me to give me just a piece of peanut.
Fingers crossed until two weeks time.

My traffic dropped in March... I'd say 20%.

When does the update end?

Any suggestions on how to recover the drop?

Damn they really work hard in order to improve user experience.
I wonder if after this update I'll be able to find an useful info after 3 paid ads and 7 bigass huge authority sites talking about a product only remotely close to my initial query.
It's a shame my friend, that's happening all over the world, I'm from Spain and some of my websites have been killed by shitty newspapers that don't offer quality content to the user.

It's a shame what this is becoming, but you have to have FAITH that users will get tired of these results.

When I talk to other people, they think the same as me, shitty content on the first page and they have to even go down to page 3 to find a good result.

Google is killing the business and is going to pay dearly in the long run, it is throwing shit at itself.
