google reconsiderations requests?

The problem with the google reconsideration is that it is proceed by people that dont do the banning!
I submitted a site for reconsideration, about a week later it appeared in the index again, and then the following week it was banned again. Even though it is a whitehat site, I have no idea what the issue is with it, as I have friend running the same script and they are not banned! I emailed them asking 'Why?, Whats the problem so I can fix it?' ut you get nothing back from them.
I am now going to change the site and try again. But this just goes to show how google can hurt a business when a site relies of SE traffic over everything else.
