People increased the usage frequency of query parameters like -youtube.com -books.google.com -whatevergooglecrap.com.
I won't complain because it's a good signal for ranks but it's also a signal that the search engine quality for the end user dropped beyond expectations.
You know google is bad in understanding what means a good UI/UX by using google plus as a reference, links above title is an example.
But worse than that, they are destroying years of their work with new useless AI...
I mean, at this rate, google will become so horrible that neither an infinite monopoly could help them. People will find someway to go for alternatives.
You don't change stuff that is already working, you can tweak it, but big changes is not good, worse yet is when google is doing big changes all the time.
They just don't decide, their changes is so random that sometimes they implement favicons, days later they disable it...
As an end user, like me, that started using google since 2002, those old days google was so impressive, the way they could predict user's intent, no AI was needed.
what happened nowadays, I tried hard to keep using google, but I can't, the search engine is just a giant server with popular sites indexed providing random results from giant sites.
In the SEO perspective, they are doing so much complexity that exploits will become easier than ever, if it's not happening right now... In case you don't know, more complexity means more exploits possibilities.
For SEO people that have a tons of money to invest in PBNs and produce quality links, it's being beyond easy to achieve good ranks faster than ever.
What is SEO nowadays? you create PBNs following google's guidelines, then you have a money site that you can post random crap and will rank not because end user gave a positive signal for google, but because the amount of links the site have.
It's indeed like in the real life, you have celebrities, some celeb don't have a good personality and even so they keeps their status while there are millions of nice people that should be famous but won't because they need the right contacts which they don't have.
Search Engine replicates the celebrity system, you just need the right links, then your site can have any random content and will rank well.
