I have been working with a new client for about 6 weeks now. The rankings were beginning to climb for one of the easier keywords which saw a high of position 17 in Google a couple of weeks ago. Last week it dropped to page 3 and as of yesterday completely dropped out of the rankings in Google. The company name still ranks at the top in Google so the domain is certainly still indexed. My question is why would it drop out of the rankings like that and is this likely just to be an alteration in the Google algorithm and a result of a dance?
I am a bit worried i have got the domain blacklisted especially considering i have been very conservative with my link building. While i have been enthusiastic and done a fair amount of work for the client, i certainly haven't been stupid and i have done nothing differently for them then i have for my other clients.
I have written a few articles from scratch (6 in total, 2 for this particular keyword), which were spun and sent out via AMR using the scheduler tool (50 articles submissions per hour with about 300 successful submissions per article. 2 of which haven't finished being submitted). I don't ping the articles either so this should appear pretty natural. I have also done a couple of SB blog blasts but again, nothing on a big scale (perhaps 250 successful submissions tops and again, i haven't pinged them). The comments weren't too spammy either. A couple of lines along the lines of great post...
I can't see why the domain would be blacklisted because it wasn't anywhere really in the rankings in the first place, certainly not attention grabbing for Google to be contemplating blacklisting me plus i have been careful in my link building.
Any advise on what to do now would be appreciated
