Quote from Search Engine Land, "Google has released a new algorithm to provide a more useful, relevant and accurate local search results that are tied more closely to traditional web search ranking signals. The changes will be visible within the Google Maps search results and Google Web search results."

Anyone have any thoughts towards changing their local ranking strategy? I've very slowly been building high quality contextual backlinks and getting citations so I think this will simply help my overall rank.

I read that new algorithm of Google last week. I think this new algorithm focus more on knowledge graph, spelling and synonyms. In other words, more on words construction. Just like you, I'm looking too in my ranking.
