i am not so sure about the gorillas. if google brings only this gorillas in the serps who needs then google ? then you know the pages and go direct there. so its also risky for google to go this way and i think the spammaster sais in his video that they will bring medium - small pages back.

Ok, so I think we all agree on two main targets: authority as #1 and link profile as #2.

I believe that many of us use tiered link profiles, could this be the target of Penguin update also?

The thing with my local market is that 97% of users use Google as their main search engine. Of course I see small traffic increase from Bing, but it's still very small number of users.

Im learning more about the predominant trends in black hat , going after the quality ones and staying away from the quantity ones. Essentially, i thinks there is always value in quality, so if what you doing is high quality it will stand the test of time and google's wrath. A good question would be : what are the predominant quality trends in black hat SEO?

I hear it is going to penalize original, quality content and return to ranking sites that use sb to spam blogs with high obl's. In other words, I should see a massive jump in the serps. ;-)

They're probably going to keep going after link networks like they always have. Because just finding one network gives them access to thousands of webmasters sites.
