speaking of which, one of my 1.5 years old sites had just started getting daily clicks out of the blue. And it's in the crafts & hobbies niche, not sure if we can extend it to Arts, but... I found it interesting and wanted to mention it

Is your traffic that way? Or, is it fluctuating now.
@Fashina Samson It looks like that from now on no matter how big Google releases an update. The bot activity will remain the minimum.
@homeriscool @Squidee @BreeLik Although it's weekend now and nothing can be confirmed. But how's your sites doing?

My sites seem to be stable....hopefully stay like that....
I don't check traffic just the the rankings and they are all going up !!

I guess they are hunting down those press release and sponsored posts that we often see (apnews, globenewswire, etc).
I'm experiencing a very strange effect. Of all my websites, 1 which I heavily invested my time and money on (focusing onpage SEO, paid huge amounts to native writers for top quality content, proper citations to back any statements, and what no) got tanked during the first day of the update. Lost nearly 50% of rankings and 75% traffic.
2 other websites experience some improvement in rankings over the course of a few days as the update is still ongoing. The strange thing was these 2 websites are pretty old and I've been neglecting them as I am focusing on other websites and projects. Have top quality content but many competitors and newbies have plagiarised the contents so severely I didn't bother hunting them down anymore.
The other (the one which I opened a thread about that strange animation cartoon that plays when I do that site: query) stayed the same - no ups or downs.
Overall, I'm still on the losing side, especially since I invested so much time and money on one of the main website but it got wrecked.
HOWEVER, sales are slightly better than before this update started. It is weird.
