Will have to do a case study soon! I need people with new sites to do this case study properly
Hit me up if you have a new site.
I would be interested in seeing that case study, I have yet to see a significant impact of profile links for my sites.
I do them anyway for link diversity.
Currently, I have told my employees to test it on 3 new sites. Will not be a single variable test or SEO science experiment
But we will know what's up and do they help or not (in any particular serp)
I thought you had a case study on this topic.
Did a case study on forum and blog comments.
Forum link building is awesome! (If you know what you're doing)
They will deny almost everything be it regarding links, on-page SEO and whatnot.
On the other hand, can you imagine JM saying '... yes, there is nothing wrong with profile links...' It's not going to happen. Obviously he's going to say NO.
While I'm not a huge fun of profile links, I see them all the time ranking on top of SERP as parasites. Some have a sentence and a link only.
I think best is to go with what's ranking on Google, not with what they say.
True! Well the thing is Google employees won't tell you how to manipulate rankings.
According to them expired domains don't work for rankings! (Complete garbage)
We should keep testing what works and what doesn't if we want to make some organic money
The only thing they think is worth doing is buying loads of PPC ads.
On Point!
Yeah I've never seen any impact from profile links, and everyone says they are essential for "pillowing", but I've seen more sites ranking well without blatant pillow links than those that have them so I'm dubious of even this advertised benefit..
But, I think people still rank their website using profile links (not in competitive niche of course)
Works better than building no links at all
Is it current stats on your side, or just a thinking
It will a good thing if you do a case study as the forum one
That's what I have noticed on serps. I make profile links for my sites but I do a lot of link building to my websites :/
Profile links are usually my first links for a new website. It lays a good foundation of branded links and looks rather natural. I only send them to the home page or about us page to keep as natural as possible. But I always see my impressions jump after they start indexing. Then I start building other links, they are a good primer.
That's the point! You might be able to rank easy af niches with these I believe!
It can be used for marketing. Other than this, I see no value in profile DF links.
How can it be used in marketing? (Would be interesting)
I don’t mind testing on my client site provided you can help to get relevant profile links to sign up for I’m very lazy to find them lol
Haha!
Well my employees are scraping some good profile links for this test. Let's see what happens.
complete crap .
read the comments on that page.
do-follow and no-follow are both needed and are both valuable for SEO.
Cool! I just wanted to hear opinions here
