as long as you've submitted for re-indexing, you can only wait, or change to a "better" one again or try some way to make the page seemed more important / popular from Google's point of view.
my exp. is, if the page was important, popular, at higher rank, google loves it, or the updated content seemed much better, it will be re-indexed and updated in SERP soon, otherwise, it could not be updated even 1-2 months. Some of our modified page updated in SERP in 3 days, some even not updated till today.
For those long-time-no-update pages, we try to make it more popular/important.
On the other hand, Google sometimes "change" the title and description in SERP on the basis of search term, which means same page will be displayed different titles, descriptions.
