In the forum from which this info was obtained, the following was mentioned:

Looking at some articles from ezine ranking in the top 10, I noticed very similar articles in the same category, same keywords, almost identical titles, that are not ranking for the same keywords or are not even in the top 20.

Well, since these articles are getting their views from SEO rankings...then all the standard concepts of SEO would still be in play.
In many cases, the articles at EZA do not have any links pointing to them...and just by getting some links pointing to your articles...given that you also have good rich content...will cause you to rank for the terms.
NOTE: Don't shoot the messenger, as I'm just passing on what's being shared!

What's the quality of ezinearticle traffic compare to organic? Do they click? I would assume that they're pretty tech savvy and know how to avoid ads.

Sounds truly great. One thing I'm not clear on: what differentiates traffic from search engines and just a lucky link on a major site? If some article on say lipstick choices or whatever has a huge number of hits...why wouldn't that just be from someone grabbing the article for use on a big national site? Thanks...I'm sure the answer is obvious and I'm just not getting it...

Interesting further observations: Am I correct in understanding that when Rank Tracker shows that the google rank of a certain keyword is, say, '2' in the Google Rank column that if I do a search on that exact keyword in google I should expect to see the listing at position 2 [to be clear: first page of results, second listing, not including adwords listings at the top]? I know google results are a moving target but I assume it should more or less match.
The reason I ask is that using the keywords in google produce ezine articles at the expected places...but not the same article.
For example (I'm making this up, but it's what happened with other keywords) if I search on black stallion with the google code, and follow the procedure, I might get 'stallion racing' at position x. If I enter 'stallion racing' into google I get another stallion related ezine article at that position.
Help me out here...

Just to be clear on my last post:
I may have it wrong, but doesn't Rank Tracker purport to find out where a given site page (as entered at the start of the Rank Tracker process) will appear when a user enters a specific keyword into a search engine? I assume this is the position of the site in the results not counting adwords...not the 'page rank'. However, if Rank Tracker is giving you page rank then maybe those numbers add up...that is, a '2' means on the second page of results, not the second listing...but I haven't checked this...
