Hello,

I am trying to acquire google news sites, but i am very confused.

1. Price-
I am getting some sites for $400 while some people ask for $2000 , Both are sites without traffic & DA. Something seems fishy , whats the actual price range?

2. How to check if site is approved on google news?

3. What is a old site vs New site -
Some sellers claim that google is not approving any more sites on Google news & Old sites hold a lot of value. They are the only ones who appear on google news.
New news sites are not appearing on google news listings on mobile.
Is this true?

Regards

Yes, Apparently they were approved before the December update.

The Websites that were approved after the December update are pretty useless. It wont appear in google news for any search term though it might look like its in the google news index

The ones that are approved with new update aren't useless, they rank quicker than any other site. they will index your new content without any SEO almost instantly and you start to receive traffic from them once they are in google news. If your site is interesting enough I'm sure good traffic will come through Google News.
Many people uses Google News in their mobile phones to keep themselves updated with latest news, some your site gets popular in google news I'm sure you will start to receive good real traffic. Traffic from Google news is golden one. you get to receive targeted visitors from there. Old google news sites that were approved before the update are better than new ones because they can appear in google search engine as well that almost gives you 50% more chance of getting traffic. I'd say 2000$ - 3000$ price is perfect for them since they are hard to find and few are only available in the market. Traffic is really not necessary in order to get your site approved in Google News. You need high quality content in order to get into google news. you can check out their requirements if you want. content matters a lot to google.

Maybe $200 sites are approved in local languages or in 3rd world countries.

1. Yes, now the prices are different. But all English domains (old edition) start from $1000 ish. And all of these domains may not have significant traffic.

2. You need to search for the domain in the Google News tab and it should be shown there - https://www.google.com/search?newwi...rf=ALeKk03JaplK-MjC4Rb0bSYWA19ihtVQOz15abgoIe & BOOT&gTqOA% = thegabber.com & gs_l = psy-ab. 3 ... 37206.65624.0.66008.8.5.2.1.1.0.106.481.3j2.5.0 .... 0 ... 1c.1j2.64.psy-ab..0.7.394 ... 0j0i10k1j0i13k1j0i13i10k1.0.r7HpUyqPYj8

New edition:
https://news.google.com/publications/CAAqBwgKMM7Umgsw6d6yAw?hl=en-GB&gl=GB&ceid=GB:en
Don't shows in News tab by domain name - thinkcreative.us, but shows by:
site: thinkcreative.us

https://www.google.com/search?newwi...W6PlvkCWugarOLLodyTw:1600003846645&ei=Bhogs16. 1.1.0.0.0.0.201.201.2-1.1.0 .... 0 ... 1c.2.64.psy-ab..0.0.0 .... 0.OivV9e1z4ws

Old edition:

https://news.google.com/publication...SmxjaTVqYjIwb0FBUAE?hl=en-GB&gl=GB&ceid=GB:en
Shows by searching by domain name in Google News tab.

https://www.google.com/search?newwi...0bSYWA19ihtVQOA:1600003721580&ei=iqIab7Habrz- 0.66008.8.5.2.1.1.0.106.481.3j2.5.0 .... 0 ... 1c.1j2.64.psy-ab..0.7.394 ... 0j0i10k1j0i13k1j0i13i10k1.0.r7HpUyqPYj8

3. Yes, it's true.
Old edition domains were added in the Partnerdash but the Partnerdash is no longer exist. In December 2019, Google remove that one.
New edition domains are added in the Google Publisher Center.

I have been told by some of my customers that the new edition domains does not give any traffic. And therefore, the old edition domains is now more expensive than new edition ones.
