I don't know what you mean by "still relevant" but google traffic + high authority backlink is the wet dream of every webmaster. So, no need to inquire about any relevancy
Also, if it's not too big of a secret, may I ask how you got it approved by google news? It's not for me (I am too lazy to do anything), but other people on the forum will find it useful

There is no significant increase in the traffic, Probably it will take some time. because it been only 2-3 days
