Currently have about 120 published post.

This domain was expired domain I bought 4 months ago.

The extension is .NEWS domain.

If register it to Google News, it will get approved?

Yes.

Write content , then sell guest posts.

Add some adsense or other CPM ads to the site to earn more.

Think long term and you will earn a lot
Think short term and you will earn a little
 
what's your news tab traffic in gsc? just approved site means nothing as it can have no traffic, my site got approved, but no traffic at all in the news section...
 
The best to sell link by blogposting for others. It improves your content and engagement. And monetary value.
 
Is it an old or new news dashboard?

Old ones, all posts get indexed instantly and featured on google new. New ones (after the 2019 update) are random.
