I have a question regarding Google My Business and SEO.

If I have an affiliate marketing blog whose audience is from Latin America, but I live in the United States, is there any point in adding my site to Google My Business, or would I be confusing Google regarding my target audience?

Doubt Google will let you have a location for a blog, rather create (or buy from the marketplace) any fake location in Latin America for a ''marketing agency'' that will help for sure.

Thank you very much for your answers.

My concern is basically if Google, seeing that my GMB listing is located in the United States, will not affect my audience that comes from Latin America, since it is an affiliate blog in Spanish.

get a GMB in the country you are targeting, don't you have any friend or family there that can help with verification? If not can try some service to provide verified GMB.

You can also try contacting the GMB team. I also had an issue with the location and shipping methods (+verification - I didn't get the code). The solved everything in a day and they were helpful with the verification.
I wonder, because we had some issues with them connected to our clients where GMB weren't that fast and efficient. But if you have a luck they can help a lot!

Best is to base your business where your customers may be. So put Latam as your location in Google My Business.
