Has anyone tried either of these software/services? I want to but wanted to see what everyone has to say about them first please.

Does the Google Local Citation Finder Software do really what it says?

    For example:

Google lists different citation sites for different niches / business categories

Google likes LOCAL citation sites for the LOCAL country that the business belongs to
Simply insert your keywords and the citation sites get listed right in front of your eyes

I'm wondering the same thing. I'd been on the whitspark site before but not the google citation finder, and I've gotten a couple of emails from the ladder.

I have the software you're speaking of, and our team has been using it to assist us with our Local Lasso citation submissions. It works exactly as advertised and helps you find some great hyperlocal/hyperniche directories. We've already found some real good ones to add to our "master citation submission list".

I'd recommend buying it, as the author is a really cool guy and uses the software regularly himself...so I'm sure it will be consistently updated.

search your keyword -> take top ten competitors -> Enter their title and phone number("name they use on place page" "phone number" -> use all their citations

Free of charge, scrape box saves time as well

Yes, I've tried Whitespark and it's kick ass. Seems to be the most comprehensive tool of it's kind right now by a long way...

all you have to do is take the top competitor's phone number and type search for it in google maps. That'll bring up all their citations.

whitespark costs between $20 and $40 per month

    HTML:
    http://www.whitespark.ca/local-citation-finder/
whereas google local citation finder software is a one off price @ $47

    HTML:
    http://www.localseoaustralia.com/local-citation-finder-software-2/
and looking at their video of what the software does & how quickly it does it (google local citation finder software), im struggling to see why anybody would want to pay a monthly fee for a service that restricts the number of searches and projects you can run when for a one-off low fee you can run unlimited searches and projects?

I use Places Scout and it does a great job at citation finding plus a ton of other things, email harvesting, etc. One off price of $97 or maybe that's per year, I don't remember.

Also it's a desktop app with import, export features. Still learning it but looks good so far.

If you are looking to get a Whitespark Local Citation Finder report but don't want to subscribe monthly, I have a gig on Fiverr where I'll do a report for you. You can find it by searching for Whitespark. I thought I might mention it in case anyone visiting this thread might be interested.

So help me round up the players in this area now.. WhiteSpark, Google Local Citation Finder, Places Scout, and Scrapebox. Now, when they search for the citation I assume they're mostly putting searches into Google? Are they searching for each site that they know, or searching generally and finding new directory sites. Also, I assume the difference (or some of it) from searching for backlinks is that they're searching for the Business name/city/zip? Seems like there would be lots of stuff that would not return unless you really did lots of searches for each entity.

    Thanks,
