I've got an interview with Google on Tuesday in Cambridge, MA. Would love to get the job. I once worked for Oracle so maybe that helped open a door. Either way, I'm supposed to start a 1 year contract with another company in the next week for a decent hourly rate.

Good thing because I suck at making $$ online. Over the last year tried with eBay, CPA, Adsense, Amazon and the list goes on. Once made about $1,000 in a month combining a few income streams, but lately I'm lucky to make a few dollars a day.

I have met many people who work for Google through my university. Many of them are really welcoming people.

That being said, some of the questions you receive are going to be outlandish. Working for Oracle is definitely a bonus, however.

I'm interviewing for a tech writer position. If Google makes me an offer as an employee I'll take it over the consulting job without hesitation.

Yes I think it's a good decision to work for G if you can't make money with BH tactics. If you can't beat em join em :) Good luck!
 
Congrats as I have been through the same experience.
A small tips mate be professional in your approach and don't be tensed.They will try to divert you for atleast 30 min trust me.
