Google Fred Recovery Tips

I have a content website and I use 1 affiliate link in each page.
I took a hit with the Google Fred update on almost all my branded 1 word queries.
My keyword density was 4% (due to the menu's in Wordpress), I removed them and I'm now down to 2.5%.
I will continue to work to get it down to 1%.

My question is... How long does it take to see changes?
And also... Besides kw density links are still important.
How do I get quality backlinks? (this is a serious question for all the wise people in this thread :-))

Fred was not related to onsite densities. Fred was a Penguin style update, not a Panda style one.

And if you are asking where to get quality links, then I believe we already know why your site got hit. And quality links, well, you either build them yourself or you try to get them. Build you own PBNs, do an outreach for guest posts or buy some (at your own risk) PBN links here in the marketplace.

What about web 2.0s

It's all in the application of your Web 2.0s.

I have them as part of my link building strategy.. but of course, there is more to diversify links, such as:

EDU Links
Profile Links
Web 2.0s
Article Submissions (WordAI spun, max 10 submissions)
Manual DA50+ Article Submissions
GSA SER Link Campaigns
Indexing

So, again.. it's application to your client/site and how you have BEEN BUILDING with them in the past.

Are you going back and forth between white/black-hat techniques?

Are you posing split tests to figure out if a certain method you recently used is to blame?

Some SEO campaigns take up to 30 days to see the full effects.. Google creates this stagger effect [on positive white-hat SEO even] to see if you will continue in your efforts month after month.

I’m really not sure if what are you trying to say is true. You may be posted what you read, but it’s not entirely true. Sounds too complicated to me and I wouldn’t try it. In my opinion, you should not spread words that you are not sure about or don’t have experience.

Oh my... so by this theory. If I build a new site, put 1x3000 word article on homepage and blast it with hundreds of blog comments, it will be fine, because the content was quality?

SEO does not work like this buddy. Maybe in 2011, sure, but not these days. And blaming update instead of your own skills is not really a way to go.

firstly stop being dramatic with oh dear and oh my stuff.. :D

secondly I used the exact formula you mentioned to rank an emd for "diabetes destroyer" cb product. Just some crap blog comments from fiverr and 2000 words homepage post.

ranked it within 30 in just 4 weeks :)

After 3 months its still ranking on 4th page for main kw and on 1st page for some other combinations.

As for my SEO reading and experience, I assure you I have more than enough of both of them :)

Word count != quality.

But Google Rating Guide itself mentioned the "length of content" as a quality factor. :D

The content on the blog is highly informational and It has all the elements of a "quality article" you can imagine.

Whooo if I order 15,000 words homepage then GSA Xrumer blast the shit out of the domain I guess "content quality is strong enough to sustain those sort of links" too. Nice "quality content can sustain links" theory!

To be honest the backlink profile plus the domain age plus the links velocity would be the main factor to determine if a domain is sustainable to a limited number of links though.

There is a difference between 150 comments from 150 domains (TF 30+ and outbound link <30) and GSA Blast. :) I never used GSA

Show me exactly where it says content length is a sign of quality. Quote the exact passage in the guidelines.

3.1 Page Quality Rating: Most Important Factors
Main Content Quality and Amount:

4.1 Characteristics of High Quality Pages
A satisfying amount of high quality MC

4.2 A Satisfying Amount of High Quality Main Content
Everything about AMOUNT OF CONTENT

When you check Examples given for "Satisfying Amount of Content" they all have LENGTHY CONTENT

5.1 Very High Quality MC
The Highest rating may be justified for pages with a satisfying or comprehensive amount of very high quality MC

Main content doesn't mean just words, fuckwit.

Main content can be a video, a pro/cons box, images or 50 other things.

Main content is a term used to exclude areas like sidebars, footers etc. They are simply emphasising the main area of the site, needs to be comprehensive etc.

Its got fuck all to do with word count.

Here is a better quote.

  • Main Content (MC) is any part of the page that directly helps the page achieve its purpose. MC is (or should be!) the reason the page exists. The quality of the MC plays a very large role in the Page Quality rating of a webpage.

  • Supplementary Content (SC) is also important. SC can help a page better achieve its purpose or it can detract from the overall experience.

Like i said if you see the GIVEN EXAMPLES you will get the idea you dumb blind bitch. Ofcourse, every fuckin thing is subjective, even your shitty seo concepts.

What the experimentation and research has shown so far is the length of the content matter. Even the guide used the words" SATISFYING AMOUNT" for pieces of shit like you who just want to argue and make things complex.

And why dont you show me a fuckin site with 250 words articles ranking on some high competitive keywords with domain age less than 3 years?

On the contrary, I can show you several examples where top 5 sites in google have more than 2000+ words content.

I thought we were talking about word count dick face, now your chucking in a "3 years old" clause to back up your weak argument. This isn't about domain age. Your point was that word count on its own directly correlated to high rank. It doesn't.

All ecommerce, cars, holidays etc. They're all ranking on the back of 5000 word seo articles? Nope. Sure as shit they ent. People don't go to a car sales website, a mortgage broker or to book a holiday looking for a fucking book to read.

I didn't even know there was an update. I see no differnence across the board. I'm guessing it was an update that spotting and took action vs really crappy links.

Did you look, did you? You didn't see the countless examples of low content count?

Here is one.

Where is the 5000 words of content on this page that I'm missing?

Weak argument, piss poor weak.

Honestly. Neither do I.

I just want to know about other link building techniques like, web 2.0, Social bookmarking, web profiles, .edu and .gov links. Still matter after this update.

I was trying to be dramatic, yet polite, so I went after "grandma" phrases. :D Worked fine imo. :D

Well CB niches can be pretty spammy. I literally got a site for one of the top 10 products (not anymore) still in top 10 with 2K word homepage article, 20x300 word articles as support and really shit outsourced PBN links. No idea how it's still sticking there honestly. Did my portion of CB stuff in the past, no longer focusing on that and you can rank pretty easily there with shit links. Though it's nothing long term for sure. CB niches behave differently. They are new keywords, everybody is trying to rank them, amount of spam is higher and then search volume starts to fall down and people stop pushing the sites. New keywords behave differently than established ones. It's day and night difference. But as a rule of thumb, it won't work in non spammy niches. You can try that with amazon for example and it won't get you far IMO.

Shame CB went to shit. Few years back, the amount of awesome products being launched was huge. So much money there to be made. And now it's just shite.
