I can't agree more! To be honest, yeah, this should've been done since years ago :D.

I guess is the rumor. You don't know the rumor? Ok, I'll tell you! The rumor says: The Google team wakes up once a decade to do an important update.

Interesting... It will definitely save us some trouble, and also save them some resources.
 
Further proof Google really isn't as cutting edge as their PR want the public to believe. This should have happened a DECADE ago...why separate the properties? How many personas care enough to monitor their traffic but don't care about site health/rankings? Vice versa, how many people value the data in GSC but don't care about Analytics? The delta here can't be a large %.

Further, this double verification has been an unnecessary complication, especially if they care about small businesses/mom/pop shops...and there's already cross platform verification anyways so yeah, combining them is stupid obvious.

Now, if they can allow us to export all of our errors at once and re-incorporate crawl stats we'll be making some real progress...
 
I don't know if I should like this or not, but it'll improve the accuracy of data
