Google Chrome & Cloaking

Hey,

Don't laugh if this is a stupid question but I think this is important.

What is the significance of google chrome in content cloaking. Especially when you are using a cloaking platform.

Is this something a cloaker must avoid?

Is it safe to use google chrome while cloaking. Since the chrome is google's product, is it risky to use google chrome?

I assume that google chrome plays more important role in tracking footprints while you are advertising with google.
 
trust me i didt understand and i m really confused for what this question is??
 
I think he is trying to say
Since Google Chrome is a software made by Google themself, is it safe to use blackhat tools such as cloaking via Chrome when trying to cheat/exploit the system.

Your question makes absolutely no sense. Google chrome has nothing to do with cloaking. Cloaking is done server side so it makes no difference what browser is being used
 
Yes chrome will phone home your current url and any redirects to Google. If you're cloaking then chrome might set a footprint.

Don't use chrome for chrissakes how hard is it not to use gmail, chrome and google docs for your black hat projects?

I see people selling links using gmail and google docs to send reports. They're just begging to get the entire network nuked.

You got the question right. This is same I was wondering about. So, I've using google products anymore when I am cloaking :) Got an entirely different setup for it.

I agree with Bart about this.Guys are much smart to use your legit links posted on google sheets than your black hat ones.
Google crawl also docs and drive sections and discover what is valuable and what not.
 
It all depends on how you have setup your google. You can connect google Chrome to a google account to sync all your data such as saved passwords, history, cookies etc. You can escalate to just surf as a Guest or completely "incognito" from the cloud by logging out.
Go to Chrome settings and see if you are logged into a google account.
Otherwise google doesn't track your footprints, no. Except the typical Cookie on google advertising domain for adsense, adwords, doubleclick and google recaptcha service. This is the only way google has a hunch about your browing activity. Adblocker and public library disconnect extensions will stop this leaking bevahiour.

Open chrome options -> advanced. There are over 10 options there that you have to disable or google will be receiving all your data + cookie with each request. URL suggestion, search suggestion, etc, etc, all those options phone home your activity + cookie. And if you've ever logged in from that chrome browser, even if you log off, you are still getting tracked as that previous user.

I'm not talking about being logged into a google account, nor about incognito mode, I'm talking about regular features in the browser which phone home all your activity.

So could you elaborate? What exactly? I can't find any documentation except some shady monetizing 3rd party site mentioning it. Tell me what is sent in a request back to google? I bet you are one of those guys who think a MAC address is sent in every HTTP request

Set up a proxy and see for yourself. I bet you're one of those guys who can't set up a proxy at all.
