There is this video I just watched I think is interesting all this fucking caffeine business is getting me nutts..........

Interesting...Site speed is going to become a factor it seems and whether you agree or not, it looks as though that is the deal.

Fortunately a lot of my sites are content rich and graphic poor so I may be well set...then again it could be bollocks as Google seems to be a law unto itself.

Hehe, the guy who owns caffeine.com is pretty unaware right now.

Involving, JavaScript and flash. JavaScript should reference an external file (some say it slows it down even further...)

Flash should have the no embedded tags so that the bot can get information from it outside of the swf

Video was ok, but its only a trickle of regurgitated proper coding information that's been said over and over again

focus on quality unique content and quality themed ( relevant ) back links and caffeine will follow just like the previous index.

Im already seeing that come true with clients, as i check both current SERPs and Caffeine SERPS

It's funny, before I started out learning about SEO, I assumed that Google found what I asked it to find. I assumed that if I searched for something on Google and I got no results, it didn't exist anywhere on the internet.

I don't really see what they're trying to do. It's very nice that Google are trying to make the web faster and prettier, but they're a search engine and their job is to get results. True, I don't want a lot of junk directories (which I often get anyway) but I'd rather wait 10 seconds for a site with quality, useful content to load than jump through a series of fast loading but vacuous sites.

Ho hum. That's my take as a web user. As a webmaster, I guess I'll have to adapt.

Well probably try to speed up the site a little bit won't hurt.
I totally agree with "hmeister" It is very hard sometimes to work out how google ranks the web sites.......
