i was hit in may, and i am recovering now.

What did you do in the meantime?
the only thing i did was to switch to cloud hosting, which made the site a little faster. But nothing too much, otherwise everything the same, including the aurotity of the domain is still the same since May D.A 32
The only thing I keep an eye on are the links pointing at me on the web search console, as I often get bombarded with spam links. Certainly competitors trying to make google penalize the site. So I ask Google to remove whenever suspicious links appear

There seems to be 2 tails to this update - first was neutral, second was more negative for me

Anyone in gambling niche seen any fluctuations?
We track several niches including gambling and have seen a lot of fluctuations and sites still losing keywords

People did something happened today?
Sites are flooded with bots and traffic in many niches are down. Specially in the hours when they are not supposed to.
Arts, Home decor and to somewhat sports are the niches.

I've seen people reporting large boosts in traffic overnight lately.

My clients website got hit badly in May and even worse in Decemeber. I also see that quite a few competitors had same fate. We really changed our game back in the backlinks in may and we have only used high quality niche edits. But it didn't help at all. I don't see any major difference between us and other competitors that are growing right now.

Sorry but what are high quality niche edits?
How often do you see it that real websites add links to articles which are like 2 years old?
Niche edits are tricky.

Yeah, that's hard. We didn't look at the dates of articles, but that shouldn't matter much as articles get be updated (It's common for an article to be updated) What I meant to say is that we were getting links from real websites, not pbns.

Impressions went down as it was expected but CTR shot up.
