Hi - this may or may not be a GA solution...

Is there a way to track customer if they found you via Facebook advert / Instagram THEN googled you and come to website.

I get alot of sales Organically but I'm assuming they are finding me via the adverts / socials first, then on to google to check us out more.

Any help is appreciated in how to try to track this journey.

If they still have the cookie set in their browser then yes. You can check these conversion pathways in the multi channel funnels report.

Conversions are kinda the whole point of MCF and attribution modelling. You need to have some kind of goal in place, even if it is just an engagement goal (viewed a certain page, viewed a certain number of pages, etc).

I can't post a link but just Google "multi channel funnels".

Still struggling mate. Yes I can track conversions but really I'm just curious to see who finds me where so I can invest more in that area

A conversion does not have to be a sale. Create an engagement goal - say, 3 or more page views in a session. You don't have to assign a value.
You have to have a goal to track these users.

    1. In your case you should probably set up an engagement goal, ex. "Session Duration at Least 5 Minutes", or whatever you deem valuable. Maybe they viewed a product list page. Maybe they interacted with a video.
    2. Analyze the channels involved in meeting this goal in both the MCF reports and Attribution > Model Comparison. In the Model Comparison tool, change the conversion drop-down to analyze only the users who met the engagement goal you set.

Attribution modelling is a fairly advanced concept but what you're describing aligns with first-click attribution - that is, the first channel that the user interacted with received the "credit" for meeting the goal.

I would go watch some Analytics Academy videos for further instruction.
