Yes it has been confirmed that theres an update in mid november. Luckily for me, it has turned out to be in my favour. 3 of my websites jumped from nowhere to 2nd page.
More backlinks fetching high traffic to your site and use of high density keywords could be the reason for your site getting better search engine ranking.

I usually check Moz google algorithm update (https://moz.com/google-algorithm-change) and there is not any mention about this mid-nov update.

Guys, three of my sites were affected - Common denominator, sitewide links from a couple of sites which quality I'm no longer sure about. (They worked in the past though.)
