Google Ads traffic

geo matters more than people are giving it credit for here. same niche can be wildly different depending on where you point it. i had a home services lead gen offer that barely broke even on tier 1 but printed when i split out a few tier 2 countries where the cpc was a fraction and the leads still converted decent for the buyer.

also depends a lot on if your buying display for your own offers or selling the traffic. if your the one absorbing the leads then yeah the backend stuff everyone mentioned is the whole game. if your just arbing clicks its a different math entirely.

one niche nobody touched... insurance comparison but on the auto side specifically, not the broad insurance bucket. payouts hold up and the intent on a quiz flow is way cleaner than life or health stuff. compliance is annoying but not casino level annoying.

and yeah exclude the app categories day one, no point pretending otherwise at this point its just the cost of doing business on gdn

gdn is a beast to tame for high payout niches like finance because of the bot traffic. if you are running display, you almost have to focus on high volume, lower friction stuff like senior care or home improvement. the margins are smaller per lead but the volume is there and you dont get killed as fast by click fraud. and yeah, blacklist mobile apps on day one or your budget is gone in minutes... that tip is gold.
