Hello everyone, I need help in tracking template with Google ads. I am using Google certified click tracker to cloak however the redirection showed that the clicks are going through my money page on httpstatus.io. However when I search my ads on Google and click on the ad it's taking me direct to the final url not to the money page url.

Does that mean Google has enabled parelle tracking automatically on all accounts. Or am I doing something wrong here. Parelle tracking is off under the Google ads account settings in my account.

Please help.

youre likely seeing google parallel tracking behavior. when you test your own ad clicks, google may skip the tracking URL for speed. Use the Ad Preview Diagnosis tool or check actual click logs in your tracker to confirm if live traffic still passes through your tracking template.

Live traffic is passing however the clicks are not passing through my money page

Parallel tracking can be disabled but these are methods no one is stupid enough to discuss on a forum.

Sounds like you’re running into Google’s redirect handling — even with parallel tracking “off,” they sometimes still bypass the visible redirect depending on browser/click path. That’s why you’re seeing the money page hit on httpstatus.io but not when clicking your live ads. A lot of us had the same issue until we switched to cloakers built specifically to deal with Google’s updated behavior. Tools like TrafficShield and others handle this more reliably since they’re designed for Google Ads compatibility and don’t rely solely on old-school redirects.

Yes, it’s very likely that parallel tracking is being applied (even if it’s disabled), or that your tracking tool is masking the redirects. As long as your clicks are showing up in your tracking tool, you don’t have a problem.

Yes, Google has made parallel tracking mandatory for most accounts, even if it shows “off” in settings. That’s why you see clicks going straight to the final URL instead of your money page. Your tracker needs to support parallel tracking to work correctly.

Is there any way that my issue can be fixed. Because when I'm clicking on my ad it's going direct to the final url and click logs are being updated in my tracker and also in the cloaker. But if I right click and open it in a new tab it's going to my moneypage.

If my tracker supports parallel tracking will it land on the moneypage url ?

It sounds like Google might be overriding your tracking setup in some cases.

Even with parallel tracking off in your account, Google often handles redirects differently for speed and user experience, sometimes sending users straight to the final URL.

Check your click tracker setup, ensure your tracking template is correctly applied at the campaign/ad level, and test with UTM parameters to confirm tracking is firing.

Yeah, Google’s probably skipping your tracker and sending users straight to the final URL. I’d double-check your tracking template and make sure it’s applied at the ad level, not just campaign, otherwise Google can ignore it.

No, Google hasn’t enabled parallel tracking on all accounts. You’re just seeing the advertiser bypass effect when testing your own ad. Real users are still routed through your tracking template.

I have added analytics to my money page to see the real time visitors. I'm seeing 0 traffic on my money page even the tracker and the cloaker is showing the clicks pass.

It’s possible that Google is skipping the tracking URL and sending traffic directly to the final URL. You may want to double-check whether the tracking template is set at the ad level, because if it’s only applied at a higher level, Google sometimes won’t use it.

I have checked at every level still the same issue skipping the redirect

Okay, first, which tracker are you using?
And when you click on your ad from a different device IP address, are you not redirected directly to your moneypage?
Did you set up your Google Prefixes correctly? Are you inexperienced, or have you done this before and are now experiencing issues?

It might simply be how Google handles tracking behavior. If the system detects inconsistencies between levels of tracking setup, it can sometimes skip templates and go straight to the final URL. Make sure your tracking template is applied consistently at the ad level as well, since relying only on campaign-level settings can lead to Google ignoring it.
