I do not know about "yall", but based on your specific question about the specific notification in your specific screenshots, it is clear that you need to overcome shyness and go ahead and "verify and claim your site", because that is what is specifically asked for.
I also had a lot of shyness while operating Google Ads accounts. But, I am thankful that around 6 years ago, I bought an e-book at BHW marketplace, titled "How To Overcome Shyness While Doing Google Ads". That was the turning point towards my success in Google Ads. It has been 6 years so far and now that e-book does not seem to be in the BHW marketplace anymore. However, you can perhaps check at Amazon, etc if such an e-book is available (assuming that you are not shy in operating at the Amazon website).

Well, people were heavily abusing Google ads with threshold accounts, so this is a logical consequence. These people were sitting down and asked each other: "How can we prevent this scam to happen?" they concluded they need more control, more verification, and so on. No surprise.
Its annoying, yes. But most users of Google Ads are businesses anyway, and they do not care about giving their basic information away.
