I have been building a steady, sustainable income with content writing being my field of specialization. I have been looking into manual article spinning as a possible new service to provide but I have no clue as to what rates are normally charged.

Does anyone happen to know the minimum rate for, lets say, 100 words of manually spun content? It would be interesting to see if this would be worth putting time into, as things stand at the moment I do not even know if there is a demand for such services as all my writing has been completely original.

Thanks in advance!

I used to do content spinning for some people and my fee structure was pretty simple. I started out with a flat rate per 100 words of unique content, which serves as the base price for the original article. Then, I charge a rewriting fee for each time sentences need to be spun.

Here's a breakdown:

500 words at $2.00 per 100 words = $10.00 base fee for the original article

If the job calls for each sentence to be spun 5 times, you basically rewrite the article 5 times, so you get:

500 words at $1.00 per 100 words x 5 = $25.00

So, the total for a single 500 word article spun 5 times would be $35.00, and personally I'd say that's a reasonable rate for the content provided. But, then too, your fees need to be inline with your writing skills.

Well I have been charging a lower rate than that for completely original content, no spinning. I honestly think that I am undercharging, judging on the rates that you stipulated.

Thanks so much for the advice, hopefully I can begin selling spun content at my current rate of $1 per 100 words, at the least. I will consequently up my price for original content as well, thanks for opening my eyes!
