Godaddy requesting personal photo ID now?

I had a couple of ads on Facebook running with about 3 domains I recently purchased a couple days ago and about a hour ago I have been receiving multiple complaints on my ad saying that the site is down. In other words, those 3 domains got parked by GoDaddy.

If anybody has experienced this, how do you prevent this from happening? #nobodygottimeforthat

I'd suggest doing what they say, and remember in the future that GoDaddy fucking sucks.

Use real ID, I never use any registrars with fake ID. You can use fake whois, but with domain registrar accounts always use real one.
 
I received 30 of those emails last month. I was building a blog network and then out of the blue all of my domains got cancelled. I used all fake names on my account so I couldn't verify my ID. So, I scanned my ID and then I edited it in Photoshop. I replaced my face with a penis and replaced my name and address with the words Fu#k you. Immediately after I uploaded my new ID they closed all of my accounts and refunded my money. The only thing valuable that godaddy offers is their domain coupons. The rest of their services are crap. If you used a fake name, your domain is gone on a 1 year vacation.

this bullshit happened to me too, after 2 days of buying a domain. and my site didn't even have visitors yet....
even if I would use my real data for whois or whatever they want me to verify, i wouldn't be able bcoz i don't have an passport or ID.
 
Guys I know it's tempting to go with GoDaddy bc they offer .99 domains. And you probably don't have a lot of money. But Jeezy Petes, please remember you pay for it later. You pay out the ass. As you have clearly seen.

This usually happens when you use Fake Whois details. They are really serious about this thing...

I don't use Godaddy at all. Go with a good registrar such as Namesilo or Namecheap.

As for the ID, you have to send it if you really want your domains. Ask the secondeye, a member of BHW to make you a fake id.
