GoDaddy is Busted

Godaddy has been doing that for years.

I've always been paranoid about this, but figured ICANN would have an issue with it. Godaddy sucks anyway, they have the most confusing user interface I've ever seen.
 
Never use a domain registrar's web interface to check domain availability, you're actually telling them what's on priority in your head... try checkdomain.com or hexillion.com...don't know if these are also being operated by some registrars lol
 
Had this happen to me, my $10 domain that I was waiting for my check to pay for ended up becoming $1,000+. It wasn't even for a niche, it was for a personal website. <_>
 
lmao this happened to me twice! glad to know im not crazy for thinking the same thing

Happened to me a couple years ago. I also hate how they auction expired domains, I lost a few domains that way too.
 
Could I have the domain name so I can pitch it to you a month from now with a non-readable inserted article of course?
 
I know everyone hates this, but in all honesty it is a smart business idea on Godaddy's part.

Scummy business practise.
 
Godaddy is no longer the cheapest...so I'll spend my money elsewhere for domains.
 
Godaddy are scumbags. I switched over to Namecheap and never looking back!
