Big boo-hoo! Any backlinks that can be easily acquired are considered as spam now.

Come to think of it, any person who wants to appear their backlinks naturally doesn't have to go all the way to these sites and post their websites links to them. And google knows that.

Do guest post in your own, because many are disguising PBNs as guest post nowadays.

Also, use PBNs, but make sure to check the quality, testimonials, and Seller's reputation first.

Any other links that are legit and safe and not easily achievable. One example of this is DMCA.

And don't forget your social profiles and have your posts shared.
