Big boo-hoo! Any backlinks that can be easily acquired are considered as spam now.

Come to think of it, any person who wants to appear their backlinks naturally doesn't have to go all the way to these sites and post their websites links to them. And google knows that.

It is safe, cause everybody's doing it. But don't expect you'll get rank for this. Hence I said "not helpful". Basically telling "it's not worth your effort".

Yes it's safe. It will increase your authority
