So long story short, few years ago I usually got lots of sales from creating a simple banner ad with content like

“Get a website/blog for x amount”

Clients click and go to my site, then they either contact me via whatsapp or fill a contact form.

Sales has suddenly slowed down and I have a few questions please.

1-I offered my service for relatively cheap, as the price was in the banner(did this cause I wanted to eliminate lesser paying jobs)

basically, is putting the price on my banner a bad thing?(cause most visitors always expect I’d deliver a website for the advertised amount)

2- How would you design your banner for a web design ad( assuming you are in the same niche)

Cause I feel my copyright skills need improvement

3- Suddenly I have a competition that spends lots more on ads but he charges lots more than I do and I’m left wondering if people prefer paying way more or less people need websites now

4- What mediums apart from word of mouth works best for advertising in my niche, Would Facebook be better than ad words etc as I basically got all my clients from a huge forum in my country and never bothered with Facebook

Can someone please give me examples of web design banner ads or samples you believe should get sales

And any guide or journey on bhw on how to secure web design sales would be greatly appreciated please

First of all, there is a huge spectrum when it comes to website supply and demand.

move met people who’ll pay no more than £100 for a website and equally people who’re happy to pay £3k or more.

So I think you need to set you’re own price point based on the quality you think you can offer, and then accept that you’ll have to turn alway clients who don’t fall into your target audience.

As for pricing, I’d advise having tiers - basic, intermediate, advanced and custom / bespoke.
Then in your banners have from X (X being the lowest price point).

as for the other questions; I don’t know.

Hi Lilgwanz, first I will say what you are not doing right is putting your price on your banner since this is a service there is no fixed price except you are running a promo/discount that will be okey. You can negotiate the price with your client when they contact you, first ask what is their budget for the project in other to know how to charge.

You can offer your services cheap or expensive it's up to you, your level of expertise and experience can determine your price this also includes your portfolio.

2. Am a web developer, what I do is create a banner withoit price then run Facebook or Google ads, also scrape leads and send proposal.

I wouldn't suggest mentioning a particular price in the banner specifically as that sets an expectation in the mind of the viewer and he/she would only click on it if that's their preferred number. That way, you cut down other cheaper/premium clients away.

Second, when someone sees that price, they will expect exactly that price, the moment you show them better plans, they might think that the cheapest plan is what you showed them which isn't really worth it. Now, this could be really subjective but I personally wouldn't prefer putting x price on the banner itself.
