Just wanted to know is it similar like instagram.. Because I know everything about instagram.. Is it easy to grow followers on pinterest... I don't even know what is the purpose of repin.. But I have seen many times repin tweets on Twitter.. I don't know how it works.. If someone guide me only basics of pinterest it will be much appreciated.. Or you can send me a link where I can read more about pinterest.. Already read some threads on pinterest section.

Mak,

Bump................! :D

hey mate me too i am newbi in the pintrest but i am trying to get some traffic to my website with some pintrest method . this is my skype if you wanna talk about this ==>>>zakari.zakaria8

Its not like Instagram. Pinterest is much different than Instagram.
Instagram is used for posting and stocking the photos while Pinterest is used to create boards of different relative sites. The boards are promoted on Pinterest for promoting the sites.

As far as I know, Pinterest is a good traffic source especially in some niches. There are some Pinterest journeys here, so I'd suggest starting with some of those and experimenting with it. But don't apply our IG strategy directly, learn what the platform is and think of a way to take advantage of its potential in the most effective way.

I was never interested in Pinterest.
It seems to me like a shitty page, although this is just an impression.

  • How exactly can Pinterest bring you profit?
  • Does it work only for traffic or for "Cost per"[SUP]methods[/SUP]?
  • Can you work with adfly in Pinterest

Cheers,
Limpa

Unfortunately I don't. I've noticed some but I don't really have first hand experience with pinterest, so it's hard for me to weed out what is good and what isn't. That's why I suggested experimentation, but I always suggest that - it's the best strategy with everything - make a few test accounts, try out different methods, see what works. It usually helps if you keep an eye on what gets posted there and sooner or later you'll start seeing things other marketers do which will also help with inspiration. I'm sorry I don't have specific advice.

No problem bro..!
I'm testing some stuff hope it'll work :)

I agree completely. Other social media is easy to understand, like Instagram, but I have no ideas or understanding at all when it comes to Pinterest.

I have old accounts there and have just started automating it. As far as I see here is what I learnt:
1. Follow back ratio is lower than Instagram

2. Your pins need to have curiosity gap. In the sense, don't have all the info on the pin itself.
Give them reason to click on it and come to your website.

Eg. Recipe Niche. Show a delicious looking photo with the title. User should feel like clicking it.

3. Boards are really imp. Get invites to major boards on Pinterest.
They have great reach on them and people will see your pins more than others.

Make sure you find updated techniques. Most of old Pinterest methods are not working anymore and you can even get banned way too fast if you use those. Also Pinterest really getting tougher about Spam.

I think best long term plan is verify your domain name and get start using Rich Pins.

Also you need to set up some kind of your own plan for getting traffic from it. For example if you just have quality pics then others will just repin those but not many will visit your site. You must make them visit your site by creating some kind of bait system.

Now you made me more curious about pinterest and I'll have to devote some time to it as well, just to learn how it works and evaluate it as a traffic source.

yup, your pins need to have a reason to get clicked.
that's why food pins are the best, because users click them to get the recipe.
