Getting Awesome Engagement... Few Followers - HELP!

I have an account that I’ve had since 2016. I decided to resurrect the account. Here are It’s details

Political niche
32k followers
enagement rate: 10% to as high as 20%
gaining around 30 followers a day and losing 20.

Getting around 80% to 90% reach on accounts who don’t follow me.

I have a CTA in the profile as well as every post.

Is this something I am doing or is it because the account is old and people no longer resonate with it?

I would think that I would be getting a ton more followers then what I am getting now and the people who are leaving wouldn't really matter.

I have been posting consistently for the last two weeks somewhere between 2 and 4 posts a day.

Does anyone know what sort of followers I should expect with those sorts of numbers?

It's not your account issue, its Instagram generally and they changed the algorithms specifically so it's much harder to grow than before.

I have 100k accounts with majority western followers and I barely gain anything these days.

They want you to pay for the followers through ads system.

I don’t think I buy into this because I see account growing pretty steadily. It would cost a lot to see as much growth I see in accounts
 
I'm wondering if instagram will rank/showcase/reach you out differently if you buy ads.

Do you have 100,000 Instagram accounts?

How?

If that's true you must be a millionaire.

Suppose you receive only $0.5 per month per account, that's $50K per month, $600K per year.

That's a lot of money anywhere.

I think he means he has an account with 100k followers.
 
Are you using CTA in your bio and captions? This has worked wonders for me.
 
Does advertising guarantee new followers? I thought it only increases engagement from current followers.

so how to gain followers if i want to start a new account? any suggestions?

Surely that's how it should be, and I didn't write it because I questioned it. I wrote it because I just find it surprising.
 
knowledge is power, :) you stated you ran a political page? how political, if you are expressing anti-system or authority messages, you will be shadowbanned or even mental health or depression issues will be shadowed, its a brave new world out there.
