Hey,

I used to hit pinterest very hard and made a killing but stopped for over a year. I want to get back into it.
Anyone willing to share good traffic methods? I have 1000s of accounts and proxies. Either share publicly or if you want, pm me and i can even pay for the information if its good.

If you have thousands of accounts and proxies then you should be posting and sharing on them. The thing is that you have to make your profile look good and professional, organize your boards correctly, and share(pin) high quality pins such as infographics which I have found lately to work really well.

The more you share these high quality pins the more you'll get followers, forget about following a lot of people to try and get followers back, it works but very slowly so it's not worth it unless you have a bot, but don't over do it.

I'm not expert, still getting there but what I said is pretty great information towards pinterest.

Here is my analytics ss, I only use one account and it's not really all that compared to some users on this forum which use pinterest specifically for their methods.. (analytics hasn't been updated for a little bit, the data has changed a lot)

Point is, pinterest is a great way to get traffic nowadays, but it's mostly just woman on it.. so keep that in mind.

1 account.
About 4 months old.
18k followers (targeted followers)
Between 50-100+ pins(80% with url linking back to MS), and 50-100 repins per day(or whenever I remember to do so).

This is the best advice you're going to get! So many people nowadays are focused on following people to get them to follow back. If you post high quality pins, the followers will come and it's a ton easier than just following a bunch of people and hoping that they may follow you back.

What does MS stand for? Is your site a blog based website and consist image only content?

Building a business account or personal account is easier? I noticed personal accounts seem to have better growth rate?

Hi,

I've been asking myself this question since I have both. I figure that if you want to build a brand, then you don't have a choice but to make a business account. Make boards that are similar to your niche so that you can get targetted audience.

A personal account can have more flexibility and can go into multiple niches, just like a woman who likes clothes, can also like other things like food, home decor, etc.

I have seen one post here long about pinterest traffic that claimed pinterest can drive more traffic than Facebook.Create some good quality boards there and share that all in social media websites that will be very helpful to you.:)
All the best!!!

Hmm seeing your numbers next to my numbers is pretty interesting. I have two accounts, a formal business account and one personal account. Formal account is at about 4,000 followers my personal is at 11,111 (lol) Difference is interesting. My average daily impressions are roughly the number of hits my site gets from pinterest.. Are you getting 88k hits/day from pinterest? Strange that my average monthly engaged is 10x yours but You get so many more impressions.

I would like to also note that I rarely pin anything from my "personal account" no "pins daily" or any of that nonsense. I don't find that it helps at all, getting repins the first time because its a quality pin does 100% more for you than re-pinning the same thing over and over. My "business" account has only pins from my website and it totals less than 200, my personal account is built up to look nice but still has only about 2000 pins total.

Hello alderous,

You can definitely still drive traffic from Pinterest these days and you don't even need that many followers.

What I do is repin a bunch (like 10 000 - 20 000/day) and then I see which images are generating a lot of clicks / traffic. From there I RECREATE that image, pin it, and then I repin it on all my accounts.

Here's a SS I just took on one of my new accounts (23 followers).

It depends on your pin types, categories, whether you are pinning targetted pins, etc

I suggest the same, but I think that targeted followers are important.

where do you guys get insights from ? I never knew about that

What is it that made you stop if you were killing it?

These are business accounts. When you signup on Pinterest you have the option to create one of these accounts.

I understand , can'y you convert and already existing account to a business one ?

Yup you can and it's as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Go to Pinterest for Business
  2. Click "Convert Now"
  3. Fill out the information and you have a business account

I fear a lot of pins will be locked my domain

Create Original Content to Pin
We know that 70-80% of pins are repins.
So if we create valuable content of our own,
we will have people waiting to circulate our pins and then we will get a lot of exposure.
