Hey B-Hatters!

A few days ago as I was surfing the web, I came
across a little gem of a video by Jay Abraham. In
this video, he reveals a sneaky trick you can use
to practically have all the ad copy you need for
your sales pages.

I was surprised to see Jay Abraham teaching this,
since I was always under the impression that he
was a white hatter. But, in this video, what he
shows definitely falls in the Grey Hat category - if
not, the Black Hat category.

Great Video! Thanks Wiz! So he is obviously talking to a group of people and talking about PDF's and whatnot... does anyone know what seminar this is and if it sold as a complete course?

If you click the link shown above the video on this page, it will take you to a bunch of free videos at Google Videos by Jay Abraham. I am sure you will find some interesting and informative stuff there.

I'm assuming you've not been to an expensive Jay Abraham marketing seminar then Wiz - his usual approach is to throw out a question and get the collective audience to make up the answer/solution/presentation while he sits back with a suitably beatific grin on his face. He is definitely one for the easy done-for-you solution!

Actually, you are correct. I haven't looked at Jay Abraham too closely. In terms of copywriting, I have always looked more closely at Gary Halbert, Dan Kennedy, Gary Bencivenga, John Caples, Joe Sugarman, Clayton Makepeace, Micharl Fortin, and of course, Robert Cialdini. I will have to check out more stuff by Jay Abraham in the near future.

And no . . . I have never paid a dime to go to anyone's seminar. I would never pay the exorbitant prices those "gurus" charge. I get all I need from their videos, audios, and PDF's.

I remember checking out this video a good while back.

Its great stuff that you can use right away in your copywriting,
for any niche business.

Another quality post from Wiz. Jay Abraham is the one guy who always manages to finds ways of making money sound simple - he's not a copywriting expert but still comes out with a lot of brilliant suggestions. A great place to start would be to get the mediocrity to millionaire thread on this forum.

hello,
Since english is not my native language, i don't know if i understood well the video, but what i've seen is that you can create content from the reviews, copy user's opinions and mix them so as to obtain a new article, is that right?

Wiz Edit: Yes . . . Exactly . . . You can "borrow" ad copy
from both the Professional reviews and the Users reviews.

LOL...Jay is no dummy, I'm surprised you'd think he is white hat, c'mon like which marketer with half a brain making millions upon millions is doing it the straight way?

Wiz Edit: Like I mentioned in my original post, I was "under the impression"
that Jay was white hat. Also, as I mentioned in response to "freller's" reply,
I hadn't looked that closely at Jay Abraham's stuff in the past. I guess I
will have to check him out more closely. He seems to have some clever
ideas.

Hey Wiz, your post got me thinking about all of the "gurus" I don't know about (a lot of the names you gave I had never heard of). I would love a thread from you (and other experienced black hatters) of people you follow in different areas of IM (SEO, keyword research, emailing, craigslist, web design, sales, etc...). I'm sure it would become a "sticky" quickly.

That is a very easy way to get the juices flowing for copy. Constantly updated daily. Jay Abraham is really not for everyone. You have to be willing to find what translates to the online world and what you are currently doing.

But he is the master of creating his own language and terms. Strategy of Preeminence, and Parthanon of something ! Before Kern and Eben he was already doing it. He can take simple concepts dress them up real big. Then come back to explain to you how simple it is.

Much like how Eben Pagan will take a 15 buck book called The power of full engagement and turn it into a couple hundred dollar product called Wake Up Productive only to explain exactly what is in that book !

Once you learn the lingo Jay uses the way he thinks should become more useful. But I'm with Wiz, save your money on going to all those seminars. Especially if you're already broke ! Download and read.

Folks, if you need to play .flv files, download VLC Media Player - it'll play just about anything. It's obviously freeware/open source or I wouldn't recommend it.
