I installed it today on a blog with no dupes and waited for some autoposts. After a batch of posts I ended up with one post duplicated, so it doesn't seem to actually prevent them. However, when I posted an article to see what would happen the duplicate disappeared!
I guess a cure is almost as good as prevention

As mentioned, the plugin will get rid of the duplicate posts when you actually publish one new post, not just save it as draft.
I did not test it on WP version 2.8 however... Anyone please provide feedback?

I think it deleats the older post in place of the new one ? is this right?
The reason im asking is because I went through and customized some posts. Then later I went back and looked at my blog and the posts seemed to have reverted back. I attributed this to the dupe post erazer.

if it deletes both posts, then what is left to read???
Let's be clearer: if you already have a post that you wrote (this can happen sometimes to some of us
), entries will be created in the DB with the same post title. In this case the plugin will delete old entries and save space in the DB, that's for old posts.Concerning the new posts, they are deleted if an older post exists in the DB.
That's why both will be deleted.

just wondering (might be a stupid question though)... is there a reason why this is not on wordpress.org plugin section? i literally went through all the plugins over there, only to find none of them does what this can do...
it would help lots of people, because there would be more exposure at wordpress.org...
