Hi, so theres an instagram account that has a username I want.

They arent active, no followers and don't respond to any emails, messages, etc.

Long shot but is there any method to get the account?

Contacting instagram is the only way and you will need a convincing story or own the rights to the name

You can also try to dm the account and hope they read it when they login some day. There's no real "method" to getting the account unless you own the rights to the name/username as stated above.
