[GET] 3 Year Hosting For 99c From Hostable

I've ordered and where can I check the paypal subscription?

I ordered too... And site is live now... Not bad...

Is this hosting is reliable?

I am waiting for a good review/answer for some time too, but nobody seems to answer the questions lately...

1st problem : it is reliable
2nd: we don;t know anything about the subscription thing ( as some members say that it doesn;'t appear into the paypal history)

So how do we unsubscribe ? can we do that?

EDIT!

Did you guys read the Terms of Service?

First, you have to cancel at least 60 days before your term ends, otherwise they will renew your services for another 3 years.

5.02 The initial term shall be as set forth in the Order Form (the "Initial Term"). The Initial Term shall begin upon commencement of the services to Customer. After the Initial Term, this Agreement shall automatically renew. Additionally, up to sixty days or two months prior to the initial term ending, customer acknowledges, agrees and authorizes Hostable to automatically bill and/or charge their credit card for successive terms of equal length as the initial term, unless terminated or cancelled by either party as provided in this section. After the Initial Term, this Agreement shall automatically renew at the current listed fee. A list of current fees are available on the Hostable website and the rest of the fees in this Agreement.

Then, it seems as if they are also going to sneak in a bunch of recurring monthly charges.

5.05 Hostable charges a non-refundable set up fee as well as its periodic service fee which in some cases may be refundable as further set forth elsewhere herein. Hostable charges an Annual Domain/DNS Maintenance Fee of $.17 per month per domain name, a Universal Internet Service (IPv6) Recovery Fee of $.07 per month per domain for Domain Only accounts and $.34 per month per domain for all other accounts, and a Wind Energy Surcharge of $.57 per month for all accounts except Domain Only accounts. Hostable may also charge you for Domain service fees and specifically reserves the right to institute additional charges upon notice to you. Hostable reserves the right to alter, change, amend or delete charges at its sole discretion. Hostable further reserves the right to institute new services and charge fees in association with the provision of such new services as it deems appropriate.

Then, get this: they can charge you a $35 an "early termination fee", so make sure your timing is correct!

5.09 If a customer cancels their hosting service prior to the end of the Initial Term or any Renewal Term thereafter: (a) customer shall be obligated to pay all fees and charges accrued prior to the effectiveness of such cancellation, (b) Refunds of service fees will be made only for pre-payment of service fees beyond the next renewal period following the effective notice and termination of this agreement. All refunds shall be pro-rated based upon the number of days for which service remains unused as of that next renewal date. Hostable may grant refunds under any other circumstance it deems appropriate without waiving any other rights hereunder. There will be no refunds of Domain service Fees. Fees paid for certain additional services, including but not limited to services for extra storage space, email tools, website tools or special groupware, are also not refundable. If a prepaid account is canceled, any refund given will be prorated based on the regular monthly price for the given service. (c) Hostable reserves the right to charge an early termination fee of $35.

And I just read from other forums that even if your subscription isn't shown in your paypal account, they can send your card to the collectors or dunno where....
So it's kinda risky if you ask me, does anyone can confirm that if you pay with paypal, they can't do anything to you after 3 years?

I'm talking as we speak with an operator... I will post the results, but I feel that he's hiding something...

Edit 1: I feel like I'm talking with an idiot, slow minded operator...

Welcome to Hostable, Chris will be right with you.
Chris
Thank you for visiting today, how may I help you?
Nickname
hello, I am interested in the current offer of 99 cents 3 years
Nickname
And I want to pay with paypall
Nickname
If I don't like the service, how do I unsubscribe from your service? ( as I've heard that alot of people complain that the subscription doesn't appear in their paypal account)
Chris
Yes you can just email billing(shift + 2 <= moderated to allow the post)hostabledotcom
Nickname
but why it doesn't appear in my paypall account under the subscriptions ?
Chris
I can look into it
Chris
what is your email address
Nickname
I didin't bought the service yet, as I have 2 more friends interested and I want to find out everything about the host before I make my decision.
Nickname
but if the subscription doesn't appear in the paypay history, how can I know if I have one? if I don't have a subscription in my account, I can't do anything about it.
Nickname
Or is there any subscription at all, after the 3 year mark I will be billed from my paypal account even without the subscription appearing there?
Chris
If the service for hosting is not added then you cannot be billed
Nickname
so this means that I buy the service at 99 cents ( through paypal ) I don't have any obligations after 3 years?
Nickname
it will not be a subscription at all ? only a 1 time payment and if I want to continue I need to log in at your site and pay again manualy?
Chris
You pay the .99 cents in 3 years if you want to cancel you can at the end of the 3 years you will be billed for the next 3 years if you do no cancel the service
Nickname
I understand that part, but you already said that if the subscription doesn't appear in the paypal payment history I can't be billed.
Nickname
so how can I be billed if the subscription isn't showing in the history ( as many people say that it doesn't appear )
Chris
if you just placed the order you just have to wait for our billing department to process it
Nickname
I want to clear this subscription thing before I aquire the service for me and my 2 friends that are also interested. Can you please answer my last question ?
Chris
I am sorry, I do not understand your question. Can you please clarify your request for me.
Chris
This is free you sign up pay the .99 cents and then have hosting
Chris
at the end of 3 years you can decide to cancel or renew at the paid for rate
Nickname
I know this but how do I " cancel or renew " , if the subscription isn't appearing in the payment history of my paypal acount ( as alot of people are complaining ) ?
Chris
we are not affiliated with pay pal
Nickname
My problem is with the "cancel or renew" thing , I am not interested in the company affiliates, so?
Nickname
"I know this but how do I " cancel or renew " , if the subscription isn't appearing in the payment history of my paypal acount ( as alot of people are complaining ) ?"
Chris
To cancel the account you wrote to our billing team Billing(shift + 2 <= moderated )hostabledotcom
Nickname
ok, here are 2 things that you said:
Nickname
1. if the subscription doesn't appear in the paypal payment history , I can't be billed even after the 3 year mark passes
Nickname
2. you also said that after the 3 year mark pass and I don't cancel my " subscription " I will be automatically billed
Nickname
How this is possible>
Nickname
?
Chris
I am sorry, I do not understand your question. Can you please clarify your request for me.
Nickname
Ok
Nickname
1. I aquire your company service. 2.I pay with paypal. 3. I look at the payment history and the subscription isn't there ( as you said, I can't be billed if the subscription isn't there). 4 ! You also said that after the 3 years pass, I will be billed ( ignoring the fact that you said that I can't be billed if the paypall payment history isn't showing any subscription ). My question is: 1. How is it possible? How I am being billed if there isn't any subscription in my account ? <== this is the question
Chris
The hosting is not in there because the paypal has not been billed yet and we have to waif for the account to be processed
Nickname
I'm refering how can I be billed after the 3 years mark ( in the conditions listed ), not when I aquire the service
Chris
You will be billed by pay pal
Nickname
So this is a hidden subscription service or what?
Chris
no
Nickname
You still didin't answered my question properly... please try to answer it: "1. Chris
At this point we dont have any details about how it will be auto renewed. The hosting account is 2 months old if you want more details on the renewal process you can write to supporthostabledotcom for more information on the billing process. At this time there is no way to remove your paypal information from our system or turn off the auto responder

PS: WHAT? this sounds fishy and interesting, I will definatelly not buy the hosting package... I might change my mind...
If someone got anything else about them, post it here.

So as you read the conversation, you will see that he said that If it doesn't appear in the paypal history you can't be billed, but after that he said that you will be billed after 3 years... fishy alert here...

Also before answering my last question , it took him like 5 minutes...curious

i just sign up...everything looks ok..my site loading little bit slow..i got what i paid for anyway...lol

As far as I have been able to determine, the 99 cent is not a subscription fee.
It is a setup fee.
Hosting is free for three years except for the 99 cent setup fee, it is their form of captha to verify you are human.
Hostable(dot)com parent company is Brinkster(dot)com out of Arizona. They are also a hosting company.
My sign up and access to my cpanel went without any hitches.
Now waiting for my transferred domain DNS to actuate.

This is just another one of these hosting companies that will probably disappear in a couple of months. They load up their servers with as many sites as possible making it incredibly slow and unreliable. Enjoy your 50% up-time hosting guys. :)

Tons of features are lacking. The hosting account is incredibly bare. Several important php settings have been turned off etc etc.. If you want to host static content I guess it will do.

May I say this post is full of assumptions?? I have got more than 30 hosting accounts all around the country and this one has the same features as the others.

It has fantastico de luxe with all the scripts waiting to be installed not even one less. Can you please list one by one what is missing or bad or lacking?

EDIT:Edited a part of the post. Sorry vallento.
