If you can build 100 web 2.0s and post to them regularly (basically, treat them like 100 different websites) you might get some benefit out of it (I still wouldn't count on it, but you can try). But don't link back to your money site from each article on each web 2.0 that you create. Once every 10-20 articles (and preferably to different URLs of your site, even better if it's different money sites altogether) should be safe.
But again, I personally wouldn't waste time with web 2.0s beyond the scope of diversifying your backlinking profile. Many of these websites will nofollow your links anyway, and this devoids your links of link juice. I've also seen some web 2.0s asking you to upgrade in order to post more, and if you have to spend money on these upgrades to get backlinks that google doesn't value anyway, wouldn't it be much better to spend your resources on something that works?
