Hello,


I have working GEO Targeting script and it uses MaxMind Database (updated November 2nd, 2010).

It will provide you following info:
Country Code, County Name, Country Flag, City, State and Zip of each visitor.
All it will take 2 mins to set it up on your website.
I tried to post the link HERE to download the script but its not allowing me to post links since I am a Newbie, then I tried uploading the script which is only 16MB in size and I saw forum allows to upload upto 50 MB of rar format, but I tried twice uploading everytime it returned Security Token Missing Error.

Can anyone let me know how to upload or post the link of that script here.

can someone please suggest how can i share this script with other bhw members here. I guess few of yours will be looking for it.
 
yes it has MaxMind GeoIP.dat, GeoIPCity.dat these two are capturing most of the space in that 16MB.
 
zip it up and upload it to mediafire and then share the link! :D

I uploaded it to rapidshare and and tried to post that link here but again its not allowing me to post rapidshare link. Also its not allowing me to send PMS

After downloading just unzip the archived format and upload the whole directory to your domain.
Note: Obviously you would need to eliminate the spaces from the given url to download

Hey guys,

I have noticed 6 downloads of the script so far but no feedback yet. Every one who downloads and test is requested to please leave a feedback post.

Yes, thats it all.

Just upload the whole directory to your domain and then explore
www . yourdomain . c o m / GeoTargetting

Well you can use it for website display only or you can use to for Geo analyzed redirection. You can even save this info of visitor into your database.

By the way 23 Downloads so far and no thanks ::(:sigh:
 
can this script redirect visitor based on their country?
 
subscribed this thread. i think this is valuable script if the script can also catch visitor email LOL

so, if you have collected visitors Country Code, County Name, Country Flag, City, State and Zip, what can you do with these informations? analitics?

yes this script can do this just after minor modifications.

First of all thanks for subscribing secondly, sorry its not possible to catch visitors email id.

You can actually use this script for different purposes like. You can tell your visitor that where he belongs and can make your webpage more professional, lets say you are running a dating site so you can have a headline on your webpage saying 5000 users online in [CITY, State] etc. you can also save this information of visitors in a database and then you can analyze that from which part of Globe you are getting traffic mainly.
You can also use this script for Geo redirection. Lets say you are promoting a cpa offer which only allows US/CAN traffic so you can set only US/CAN visitors to redirect to that specific offer else some other international offer.
