I need some techniques by which I can get good social traffic [ FB, Pintrest, Twitter etc. ] to my eCommerce site. I want only UK based traffic and need to convert them in to sales. What can I do from start like adding friends and then making my product a brand. I don't want any unethical methods for this. Please suggest some good ideas for this.
I am new to social marketing so, please help me to promote my business.

Pinterest has some great tips on how to drive traffic on their website (if you want to do it "legit") share pics from your niche that are high quality, good for sharing.. think "repin/reblog bait".. I suggest tumblr also, its so easy to just reblog a few pics everyday and you'll build up your account naturally.

however in my experience, except facebook, all other social media platforms convert very badly to sales... just a heads up

or else, I suggest you get some bots here and create lots of fake accounts.. its the same process as doing it legitimately, but its much faster and mostly automated.

You you want to turn traffic into sales try - Pinterest traffic. If you want to build a brand try Facebook Advertising like (20% Offer Only for 4 days). Else, try out Adwords, don't know how successful the campaign will be because of huge competition.

Perfectly said! There is no doubt Facebook is viable and effective advertising option that should not be ignored. @Op, When you try out the paid advertising options test out different budgets, tactics and see which ones provide best results. Over time you will find winning formula that works for your brand or company.

Good Luck!

I try using hootsuite for my social media management. you can use it to update and schedule your status and everything. it is time efficient and it will lessen your job as well.

My favorite is joining in google plus communities then sharing my blog posts in the said groups. Google plus users seem to be more active than facebook users.

You can use social exchange sites like amf and YLH. I dont think there is anything wrong using them.

Work with blogs in your industry to cross promote. Spread your links to those who will display them well. Good content is king, this will naturally drive more people to each impression you leave on the web.

Fb and Pinterest are two gold mines. If you own traffic there then you can bank easily and heavy.

My advice to you would be to hire someone on fiverr, pay him for few accounts and ask him to get targetted friends then create a fanpage and start building audience.

Join groups, automate your process of content posting to pages & get into interacting more & more people of your niche to catch their attention towards your page.

I recommend that you check SocialMediaExaminer - http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/, as this source gives a lot of creative advice along the way.
Other than that - share content, contribute to discussions in relevant groups and try to grow your fan base by posting interesting stuff and sharing it with the audience that will find the information useful.
As for UK based traffic, Facebook allows geotargeting for promoted posts, so if you're using this feature, then it will be possible to expose the promoted post to UK audience only.

I use zsubmitter, Moneyrobot & Backlinkbeast for article + web 2.0 Submissions and in crunch time situations I use Fiverr Video Submissions and Tiered Link Pyramids for fast Google Ranking. Try researching IFTTT methods for leaverage.

Upload a video on YouTube; rank the same and get high quality visitors ;)

Oh man, you're gonna have a very interesting ride. :)

I've been doing SMM for a startup I co-founded and after a year of pure FB marketing (no ads whatsoever), we've reached around 13k++ likes and getting almost 100 a week these days. All real accounts, no bots. We've essentially built our own tribe and now on our way to monetizing it.

For what it's worth, the best lesson I've learned doing SMM is this - know your audience well. Know what makes them delighted. I will repeat: DELIGHTED.

You need to make them feel deeply connected with your brand and give them a sense of belonging.

Create not just customers and sales but brand advocates.

It's difficult to set up but once you get your own tribe set up, you're gold. Be sure to save a lot of patience if you want to go this route.

If you got questions, feel free to PM.

Good luck. :)

Also keep in mind not every niche is prone to social explosion like Jesse's. I have one niche thats aimed at the 45-70 year old crowd and man... its a bitch to get even a few extra followers each week. And they pretty much ONLY seem active on FB. So know which platform will work for you. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest... each has different audiences, demographics and strengths.

BTW, Jesse... how many posts/day are you making there?
